Isaac M. Cooper, CDAA, CFEI

IMC Financial Consulting is led by Isaac M. Cooper. Though he grew up in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, most of Isaac Cooper’s family lives between London and Jamaica. His trek to Birmingham begins being recruited by Heisman Trophy winner Pat Sullivan at Samford University. Isaac received a full athletic scholarship to Samford University as a Defensive Back and graduated in 2012. Immediately, Isaac transitioned into financial services with the goal to help clients navigate and make smart financial decisions. After transitioning from a Fortune 100 Company, Isaac Cooper founded IMC Financial Consulting. Isaac founded IMC with the intention of leaving an impactful legacy not only for his family but also for the families of the clients he serves throughout the country. His clients range from business owners to professional athletes and anyone in between whose focus is to better themselves and the lives of the families that come after them.

As the founding partner, Mr. Cooper has been actively involved in his community. He’s facilitated financial seminars for different universities, neighborhoods, corporations, organizations, and churches. Isaac is the recipient of the 2015 Agent of Change Award via AL.COM, the 2017 Birmingham Business Journal Rising Star of Money, the 2018 A.G Gatson "People's Choice" Community Service Award, the 2018 Samford Inaugural Audrey Gatson Howard Award, and the 2018 100 Black Enterprise Modern Man Award. 2019 City of Birmingham Inaugural Small Business Council. 2021 and 2022 Birmingham Business Journal Who’s Who in Financial Planning & Wealth Management. He's also been featured in NASDAQ, Nerd Wallet, AL.COM, and many other publications. Isaac is also one of the first Certified Digital Asset Advisors (CDAA) in the state of Alabama. The youngest person to be nominated and appointed to Chairman of 2016 designated National Monument, Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. Mr. Cooper reaches at least 1000 students on an annual basis through football camps, speaking engagements, and financial workshops. Mr. Cooper’s vision and game plan is to leave an economic impact for the generations to come.

Mikel Brand Oliver, M. Ed

Mikel Brand Oliver is the owner and principal consultant of Mpact Consultancy LLC. She strengthens the execution and outcomes of mission-centered individuals, initiatives, and organizations through consulting, coaching, and professional development. Mpact has created and produced equity-centered content for media production companies and institutions of higher education for local and national audiences. Mpact’s coaching and professional development have enriched the productivity of non-profit and for-profit teams, leaders, and inspiring entrepreneurs. Mikel believes relationships are paramount to accomplishing any mission and essential to creating space to understand and value our collective differences.

Before launching Mpact in 2019, Mikel served in Public Education in New Haven, CT, Prince George’s County, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. as an educator, instructional coach of mathematics, and founder of an identity-affirming initiative for Black Males in Southeast, Washington D.C. called The Boys Institute. Mikel’s work in education grounded her “Why” for dismantling inequity.

Mikel has a B.A. and B.S. in Elementary Education and Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University, a Master’s in Reading Education from Bowie State University, and a Master’s in School Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She brings her core values of faith, character, justice, and relationships to every project and client. She is also the host of The Inside Job Podcast, sharing love, light, and lessons on self-love.

Delandus O’Neal, CFEI

Delandus was born and raised in Carrollton, Georgia, where he quickly excelled in sports, earning multiple state titles in Track & Field and All-State accolades in football during high school. He then attended Wallace State Community College for two years, where he earned a reputation as a standout athlete, becoming a 3-time NJCAA All-American in the 400 hurdles and the 4X400 relay.

Delandus went on to attend Mississippi State University on a track and field scholarship, where he continued to excel both on and off the track. He was named an All-SEC recipient in the 400 hurdles and was recognized for his academic achievements as a member of the All-SEC Academic Honor Roll.

After graduating from Mississippi State in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Delandus worked in the business management sector before moving to a Fortune 100 company in the Financial Services arena. There, he distinguished himself as a top-performing financial advisor, earning multiple awards such as Pace Setter and New Client Leader. Delandus was also invited to travel across the country to train with other top young advisers.

Delandus' mission is to build life-long relationships with his clients through honesty, integrity, and strategic planning. He is passionate about helping people of all income levels create financial solutions that work for them. In 2017, he joined the IMC team, where he serves as a Defensive Planning Specialist, Financial Consultant, and Certified Financial Education instructor.

Delandus currently resides in Birmingham, AL with his lovely wife, Wendy, and their daughter, Emori. They also have a furry child named Kobi.

Brittley Humphrey

Brittley Humphrey — a proud graduate of Hoover High School and Louisiana State University. She’s a 15-time Alabama state champion, the current state record holder in the 100-meter hurdles, and the 2021 SEC Champion in the 400-meter hurdles.

She also competed as a semifinalist in the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials. Off the track, she’s a published children’s book author and entrepreneur.

Brittley is a certified financial instructor, passionate about inspiring the next generation.

AJ Stephens

AJ Stephens brings executive-level leadership experience within the banking industry, where he has led business development, community lending initiatives, and strategic market expansion efforts across Alabama. During his tenure as a Vice President and Business Development Officer, he successfully established new markets, built high-performing loan portfolios, and developed partnerships that increased access to capital for underserved communities.  

At IMC, AJ serves as one of the lead instructors for the IMC Financial Freedom Project, where he delivers and supports financial literacy instruction for students, faculty, staff, and families. His ability to translate real-world financial systems into practical, digestible insights makes him a key contributor in the classroom and across the broader financial empowerment ecosystem.  

In addition, AJ supports the IMC Insurance Agency, providing guidance aligned with protection planning, asset preservation, and long-term financial stability.

AJ holds multiple industry-recognized credentials, including being a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI) through the National Financial Education Council and a Certified Small Business Banker through the American Bankers Association. These distinctions reflect his commitment to financial education, professional excellence, and community impact. 

Deesha Cooper, MSW

Deesha Cooper has always had a passion for serving and uplifting others. This passion led her to choose social work as her career choice. Deesha attended Troy University, Troy, AL, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Social Work. After graduating, she worked as a social worker for many years before attending The University of Alabama at Birmingham where she obtained her Master’s in Social Work. Deesha’s time as a social worker allowed her the opportunity to work with different populations including infectious disease, foster care, and adolescent substance abuse treatment.

Deesha officially joined IMC Financial Consulting as the executive assistant to Isaac Cooper in 2023. Deesha is able to incorporate the social work core values and skills into her work at IMC. Service, dignity, the worth of a person, and integrity are all core values that align with IMC practices. Having a firsthand view of the formation and growth of IMC, Deesha looks forward to being able to serve all clients and the IMC team with respect and dignity.
